Red Rose Awards 2024

This award is open to businesses whose work contributes to our built environment – homes, commercial and industrial premises, green spaces, leisure and heritage, public buildings and spaces. You can enter this award if you are in the property and construction sectors, including professions and trades. This includes surveyors, architects, developers, building and construction businesses, planners, surveyors, estate agents, fitters, electricians, dryliners, landscapers, property managers and all associated businesses.

This award is open to businesses and organisations that have a clear commitment to skills both internally and externally. It is also open to those with clear strategies on maintaining and enhancing skills and strategies for the retention and recruitment of staff.

Open to private and public sector organisations which can demonstrate excellence in customer service.

Open to design studios and agencies of all sizes, freelancers and in-house design teams. Those eligible for this award work in graphic design, brand, PR, marketing, advertising, video and photography.

Open to digital businesses of all sizes, freelancers and in-house digital teams. Eligible businesses include those who provide digital business transformation, digital marketing platforms, social media marketing, SEO operations, digital sales platforms and other digital solutions. We also encourage those who deliver digital transformation to enter.

Open to private and public sector organisations that can demonstrate engagement with their teams and the support and development of their workforce. This may be through apprenticeships, in-house training, flexible working, personal development, workplace wellbeing activity and teambuilding.

This award recognises businesses with a stand-out ESG agenda. It may already be implemented as a strategy, or it may be a work in-progress.

Open to businesses that are achieving success through exporting.

Open to businesses where majority ownership remains within a family (or multi-family) structure, and where at least two family members work in, own shares in and contribute to the success of the business.

Open to organisations in the health and care sectors including dentists, GPs, pharmacies and opticians, domiciliary and residential care, hospitals, physiotherapists and those in the wellbeing and mental health sectors. We welcome entries from the private, public and third sectors.

Open to businesses in any sector with 100 or more employees.

Open to manufacturing and engineering businesses of all types.

Open to businesses in any sector with between 21 and 99 employees.

Open to businesses in any sector with up to and including six employees.

Open to businesses that began trading after 15 March 2021.

Open to not-for-personal-profit businesses, social enterprises, CICs, charity and voluntary organisations.

Brand new for 2024, this award recognises collaborations that have achieved outstanding results. This award highlights the importance of building relationships and how organisations can come together to achieve a shared goal. This award can be entered by any business in Lancashire who has collaborated with one or more external partners on a project of any shape or size.

Open to businesses that provide legal and financial professional services. These include accountancy firms, IFAs, stockbrokers, funders, corporate recovery businesses, solicitor practices, barristers, insurance companies.

Open to businesses that can demonstrate at least a 20% scale-up in turnover in their latest financial year.

Open to businesses in any sector with seven to 20 employees.

Open to businesses within the tourism, attractions, leisure, sports, entertainment, hospitality, dining and accommodation markets.

Open to businesses that can demonstrate how transformation in their business has resulted in improved performance or growth. These may be grand projects or smaller interventions through innovation and/or resilience that can show an impact.
