Celebrating the best of Lancashire

March 2018 2018

More than 130 people attended this year’s Lancashire Business View Red Rose Awards winners’ reception at Mitton Hall near Clitheroe.

The event celebrated the success stories of 2018 and the winners unveiled at Lancashire’s premier awards ceremony were presented with their framed certificates.

Guests to the reception, sponsored by RSM, heard that the awards evening at the Winter Gardens earlier this month once again trended nationally on social media. It also raised £9,500 for the awards’ chosen charity Cash for Kids.

Kevin Duffy of RSM spoke of the important role the Red Rose awards play in the life of the county’s business community.

Speaking to the guests at the reception, hosted by the James Places’ venue in the Ribble Valley, he said he asked one of his winning client’s what it gave their business and the reply was: “Belief, connections and profile”.

Kevin added: “It really means something to people and it is a hard thing to win.”

Pauline Rigby of Forbes Solicitors and Paul Nicholls of Barclays, headline sponsors of the awards, also spoke of the rigorous judging process behind choosing the Red Rose winners every year – and the role the awards can play in employee engagement.

And Lancashire Business View publisher Richard Slater said the Red Rose Awards were also about raising the profile of the county and its business community. He added: “This room is full of amazing businesses.”
