Micro Business Award

This award celebrates Lancashire’s smallest businesses, those with 6 or fewer full-time equivalent employees, that are achieving strong results with lean teams. 

It is open to businesses in any sector that can demonstrate ambition, resilience and sound decision-making, whether through growth, innovation, adaptability or strong performance. 

Judges will be looking for micro businesses that understand their market, have a clear sense of purpose and are building something sustainable. 

Judges will want to see: 

• Confirmation that the business has 6 or fewer full-time equivalent employees  
• Clear evidence of performance and progress  
• Innovation or improvement in products, services, people or processes  
• Strong understanding of the market and customers  
• Ambition for the future and a realistic plan to achieve it
